Building Copilot Discover
The past several months have been a whirlwind in the best possible way. Since joining Microsoft, I've been working with an incredibly talented team that is shaping the future of content. I'm excited to share a bit about a product we're building called Copilot Discover.
Copilot Discover is a deeply personalized, proactive canvas within Copilot: a personal assistant that doesn't wait for you to ask, but anticipates what might be useful or relevant at any given moment. It does this by building a fundamentally deeper understanding of you that persists across sessions, devices, and surfaces, expanding Copilot from reactive assistance to durable, stateful utility.
Long term, I see Discover evolving into ambient intelligence that informs you, expands your horizons, and helps you achieve things, putting the right content in front of you at the right time, including premium content that Microsoft has access to through partnerships with publishers. I believe AI should be about delivering true utility — practical, durable, and responsible — and Discover is one of our products that is shaping how AI becomes part of daily life in a way that delivers real, repeatable value. That's a reflection of where Copilot as a whole is headed, and it's truly exciting work.
What's live today is an early version. We’re actively testing, learning, and iterating. You can try it as the Discover tab in the Copilot app on iOS and Android, or go to copilot.com/discover and sign in. We're also testing Discover on other surfaces like Windows and Edge. I'd love for you to check it out and share your feedback.
There's a lot more under the hood like user understanding, personalization at scale, innovation in ranking, content intelligence, and the AI systems powering all of this. Looking forward to sharing more as we go!
